Anish Kapoor’s Baroque Minimalism at Paris’s Grand Palais

British sculptor Anish Kapoor has made a spectacular über-sculpture for the 4th edition of “Monumenta” in Paris. I hadn’t seen a single exhibition in over month due to illness and have spent even less time writing about it (as you may have noticed) as illness has been creeping up on me. But you know what? Now that I saw this, I’m like, hey, if I don’t see anything else for the rest of the year, it really won’t be the end of the world. I’ve seen what will have mattered most in 2011. … Um, no, I’m not exaggerating.  Go see it. It’s on until June 23rd.

Yes, I would have much more to say about it. And reasons why I think Baroque Minimalism hits it bang on the head. But until then, trust me, if you’re in Paris or anywhere near, you don’t want to miss this one.
